When you arrive, if you want to be moved to another property
the cancellation policy will apply and full payment for the
new home reservation will be due. MasterCard or Visa will
be accepted as payment for the reservation deposit when confirming
reservations by phone.
FINAL PAYMENTS AND TAXES
If you are going to be paying your balance with a money
order, cashiers check or personal check, you can send in
your final payment at anytime prior to your check-in date.
Remember, a personal check must be received 30 days prior
to your check-in date to allow time for the check to clear.
If your balance is to be paid with cash, you must do this
at check-in. We do not advise mailing cash. If you will
be paying your balance with a credit card, you must do this
at check-in, this allows us to have a signed transaction
slip as well as you.
All rentals less than 90 days are subject
to the North Carolina sales tax at 6.75% and the Haywood
County occupancy tax at 4%
CHECKING IN AND CHECKING OUT
Check in time will be 3:00 pm the day of check-in. You must
check-in at the office by 10:00 am where we will give you
the keys and directions to your vacation home.
Check-out time is by 11:00 am the day of check-out. There
are to be no exceptions to this. You must check-out at the
office by dropping off the keys to us or in the after hours
drop box located on the outside of the office building.
If you are not checked out by 11:00 am, this will result
in a full day's rent plus applicable taxes added to your
account. Remember, we need to have enough time to have the
home prepared for the next guests coming in. There will
also be a $10 charge for each key not returned to us.
CHECKING IN AFTER HOURS
If you will be checking in after hours, it is your responsibility
to notify the rental agents of this. We have a locked pick
up box located outside our office building. You will need
the combination to the lock which is changed frequently.
In order for your packet containing keys and directions
to your vacation home to be left, your reservation must
be paid in full along with having completed and returned
your Vacation Rental Agreement.
PETS
If you are going to be traveling with your family pet, it
is your responsibility to notify the rental agent at the
time of booking. We do offer pet friendly homes and cabins,
but not all of the homes allow pets. Just tell your rental
agent that you would like to bring your family pet with
you on vacation and we'll find a home that can accommodate
you. There may be weight restrictions and number of pet
restrictions on some pet friendly homes.
TELEPHONES
Mostof our vacation homes have a telephone set up for local
calls only. If you want to make long distance phone calls,
please bring a calling card with you. Internet access will
only be available through the phone lines, so you would
have to have a local access number for your internet provider.
**BOOKING
NOTE**:: Our online booking
calendars are set in a way so as to give the rental managers
ample time to check the online bookings for accuracy, and
to ensure all office paperwork has had plenty of time to
have been completed.
With that in mind, please know that our online calendars
do not give availability dates within 3 days of any requested
date, but this issue is easily solved by allowing you to
call our rental office for availability of those dates.
In short: Looking to rent a cabin starting 2 days
from now? Our online calendars will not show availability
for that date. Please call the rental office for availability.
